Here
are some tips to prepare your lawn and garden this month:
- Watch
for late cold weather warnings when preparing for Spring.
- Fertilize
shrubs and trees if this wasn't done in February.
-
Clean, oil and sharpen tools for your upcoming gardening.
- St. Patrick's Day is the traditional time to plant peas
and potatoes. Make sure the ground is dry and soil is prepared.
- Gardening should be relaxing. Do not plant more than you
can handle and enjoy working on.
- Do not sow your seeds in wet soil. Wait until the ground
is dry enough so your vegetables and fruits grow.
-
Finish pruning fruit trees before the buds swell.
- Prune brambles, blueberries and grapes in early March.
- Now is a good time to transplant shrubs and trees.
- Feed your Roses to prepare for Spring.
- Remove winter mulch in flowerbeds when new growth appears.
- Add course mulch to compost pile and turn pile.
- Gently push uprooted plants back into the ground.
- Continue planting additional bulbs every two weeks until
mid June.
- Remove all dead blooms from bulbs.
- Plant tomatoes, lettuce, and many other vegetables from
seed.
- Rotate indoor plants a quarter turn so all sides get sunlight
from a window.
- Clean your birdhouses so they are ready when the birds return.
- Repair fencing, arbors, or trelliswork that is weak or has
broken over the winter.

Bible
Quote : Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where
moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But
store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust
do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For
where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
